ISO 9001-2000 certified
ISO 9001:2000 is an internationally recognized, highly credible standard that provides a guide for establishing, improving and maintaining an effective quality management system (QMS) for any organization. Established as an internationally recognized standard, ISO 9001:2000 was initially aimed at manufacturing, but now is recognized as an excellent management system for any organization. ISO 9001:2000 is highly respected by business and industry and is recognized as a superior system for ensuring high performance.
The ISO 9001:2000 standard is international in scope. Organizations must demonstrate conformance to all requirements of this standard prior to an initial certification by an accredited external agency / registration body. This conformance includes the need for the organization to identify, define and meet requirements for quality, continuous improvement, product and service provision, and the measurement and improvement of customer satisfaction.
As part of its continuous improvement, CALPIA established a goal of adopting ISO 9001:2000 as the foundation of its overall quality management system. In 2007, CALPIA completed its first phase by implementing ISO 9001:2000 for its modular systems furniture enterprise. It is now working on implementing this standard for office and dormitory wood furniture, kit chairs, and modular buildings.
