Demonstration Exams
California Prison Industry Authority (CALPIA) has been authorized by the State Personnel Board to conduct a demonstration project for classifications designated M12 and S12 within CALPIA. These classifications include the Prison Industries Administrator, the Prison Industries Manager (Various Parentheticals), and the Prison Industries Superintendent I and II (Various Parentheticals). This authorization enables CALPIA to conduct examinations on a position-specific basis. The examination will be focused on evaluating applicants against specific job related criteria and will culminate with an actual hire of an individual rather than the traditional method of establishing an employment list and conducting a separate hiring interview.
